True, thinking of one to incorporate my family history crest/celtic.My first onehas an eagle head with 3 roses,symbolises-freedom(eagle)and 3 loves in my life x3.i.e mum and kids, wife and kids, mum and both grandmas, and my 2 girls names surrounding it,my design. Soppy but no use putting shit on for the sake of it.Brother surprised me with his armband he had done a couple of years ago, looks good,he thought they were a waste of time but decided to do it.

Grubb, that tattoo is awesome. I am hoping to get mine soon. It is across my shoulders, down my back and then a small one on my wrist. Hopefully in the next month.

ok this may be thread dredging but hey..

I just got my second tattoo today, and my family hate me for it... personally I like it... but they're horrified.

hey, at least i showed it to them first day... not a month later like last time.

Yea you are right, although I was fully wasted when I got mine from the prescribed medicatios I had been on for the previous 7 months and how fucked up they made me. Ive got a half celtic and half maori arm band that intertwines in the outer arm that Id love to get some day. The one Ive got is just to signify my battle with a close to death experience and coming out the other side changed for life. Was very important at the time of getting it done and Im glad its there. Ive designed more to go with it but part of me says just leave it as it is.

I like that, subtle but meaningful.....i am considering one, need to research good artists though and decide completely where i want it. I dont really want it to be on show, its going to be a private thing for me.
