I have very knotty calves (joy of short archilies) so I did all of the above, except talk to this tattooist cos she wasnt chatty AT ALL! The thing that pissed me off the most is that every time she hit a knot my calf would spasm and she would push harder!

Anyways, got a better plan for the forearms than i had for my other calf!

    Mate that is AWESOME.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

mate, the colouring looks absolutely awesome!

As far as pain management goes, never EVER fortget to focus on your breathing: slow, deep breaths...and even deeper breaths when the pain hits. It makes it surprisingly easy to deal with it.

Each arm was 7 hours total tattooing. The only time I struggled was after to much booze the night before and a lack of breakfast, the rest of the time I kinda liked the pain to be honest

Yes, I know what you mean. My tats were not as extensive as yours (about 4 hours each), but it does become almost pleasurable once you have gotten over the initial ouch!

    My work here is done.
What made the job easier is that I have no plans for any further tattoos.

Did 2 sessions on my stomach before I tried emla cream for the 3rd session, smear it on about 2 hrs before session then cover with gladwrap to make air tight, remove just before starting.

Only thing is it makes it all too easy, there should be pain

    Round 3.

Had more colouring done, went over the Phoenix again with more red to make it stand out. Got the outline of the Carp done underneath my arm, stretches from my armpit to just above my elbow. The armpit was OK, the inside of my arm hurt like hell though. More nerve endings I guess.

The blue at the top needs going over again, getting some dark patterns above the top of the burst to make the bright colours stand out a bit more.

Obviously, the Carp has the shading and colouring to be done yet.

Two more sessions, and I should be complete!

    Next session is September 12.

    Round 5 completed.

Round 4 included the clouds and detailing at the top of the Burst, and some black shading around the Carp.

Round 5 had detailing of the Carp (scales and fins), water, rocks and more shading.

Armpit was quite sore to be done, particularly with a solid colour. Very uncomfortable. Stoked with the result though!

13 hours down, 2 more to go!
