Since everyone is saying how psyched they are , I have to say i'm also absolutely happy and absolutely cant wait. Not gonna cary any beer myself but i think badger will have it sorted. Just dont let the boys in blue catch you having a secret hose running to your backpack...
weather looks good - which has been my biggest worry for the past two weeks but it shuld be all smooth.

About carying luggage - i'm chucking my backpack on the pillion seat and gonna tie it up and that will be it.

So amm yea we should be sweet. Also depending on how I go in the luggage department I may decide against the first aid kit. Will have my tyre puncture kit dou so if any of ya need ya tires pinctured you let me know LOL. Na jokes. But seriously if someone has a first aid kit that they can carry without too much trouble please do it and let us know you have it.

So guys, I really need some help. This is going to be a very long trip from Wellsford to the top of New Zealand in one day. Should I bring a gas container and fill it up to bring around with me? Do I need it?

I'm assuming there'll be gas stations along the way..?

Are you meeting us in Kaitaia or something?

I mean if EJ can do it on an FXR150 in piss poor weather, I don't see why you can't.

I wont be carryin the beer from home mate, she'd be rather warm and shaken by the time we get there! I'm planning to just get major feeds and drinks along the way. I'm assuming others had similar plans? Not planning on carrying three days food with me from home!
Actually, now i think about it, i should probably take lunches, since we may well stop in the middle of nowhere for lunch. Dinner in major towns shouldn't be a problem, though it is Easter weekend after all...
And i am tempted to try riggin up a hose to a large water bottle in the saddlebags (and yes, i DID say WATER )

If you dont want to carry the first aid kit, i'd suggest bringing it to the meet and i can throw it in my saddlebags. Wouldn't be a bad idea anyways, as i'd say i'll be right near the back most of the way. I've got my first aid ticket too, just FYI incase needed (heaven forbid).
Also, if anyone else has one, do bring it if you can. Better to carry it and not need it than need it and not be carrying it! niceone:

405 km for the first day, should be a couple of tanks on the fixxer i'm guessing?
Stations will be somewhat sparse, but they do exist up there
Am considering a jerrycan myself, just in case anyone needs it
