No hes not a member of the forum yet. Said he'll register tho. I'll make sure he signs up.
I've never went riding with the mp3 player. too much of a noob for distractions but will give it a try sometime. I'd say its cool weaving round the corners with the music pumping.
Make him Sign up. There appears to be 16 people signed up and EJ is not coming so that 15. Your friend would be the 16th. I have to call both lodges to make sure they have a space for a 16th person. your friend is a bit late so I'll see what I can do. will keep let you know what happens when i talk to the lodges. I got your number so i'll be in touch. You make him become a KBer
About the MP3 - I had my first bin 50% due to the MP3 player coz it made me push myself extra. So I say dont be in a hurry for MP3 if you are not so confident. I should have waited.
I see that mapsanji has just signed up, but I also see that he is based in tauranga. Is this a mistake mapsanji or are you really coming with us.???
I cant make it.
Thats great! Sorry about being last minute and ruining all your good work. I've emailed him to get signed up so we'll wait till he posts here before ringing about the accommo.
Cheers
Any time! i really wanted to come but am short in $$ :-( maybe some other time. have fun alll and ride safe!
Hi Guys I see you are coming up this way for Easter
Thought I can help with some local knowledge
First I have attached a map showing Mangakahia Road (Twin Bridges) there have been lots of road works on this road but should be about done.
Gas Fill up at Dargaville and that will get you thought to Kaikohe there is gas in between but expensive.
Up to Cape Reinga the last gas is currently at the Mobil at Houhora (No gas currently at Waitiki Landing) it’s about 240km return to Kaitaia so fill up there.
It’s a great sealed road up to Waitiki Landing so I would suggest that those not wanting to do the last 20 odd kms of gravel just wait there, and ride back down with the rest of the group, they have a pool table etc.
Roads are in excellent condition not many road works and if you see a sign saying uneven surface Slow Down because it will be real bad!!!
Have fun and may even see you on some part of your ride.
Feel free to PM me if I can answer any other questions I travel the roads you are taking weekly so happy to help where I can
Ride Safe.
