i'm a huge fan of lane splitting in slow traffic but undoubtably we will wait for anyone behind us on the turn off having a chat

Of course you realise most of the roads we are traveling are one lane roads, so lane splitting shall be against oncoming traffic!

Just take it easy guys, it's a cruise, NOT a race!

Just finished packing, surprised how easily everything fitted in the saddlebags!

I'm planning to be there about 8, so see you guys about 8:30

If you're wantin to get home a bit earlier you can always come back home the boring way (SH1). Makes it about a 2-2.5h trip (depending on the traffic)

Cheers, i'm considering just splitting off from you guys and just going straight down SH 1 from Whangerai, I would love to join you guys, but in that same day i'm driving me girlfriend in the cage all the way to Paihia which is further north of Whangerai. We're gonna be staying at a hotel for a few nights.. I let her book the accomodation with my money and told her a cabin at a backpackers, max. She booked a suite in a hotel at $100 a night.. Ouch.

Will see how i'm feeling on the day.
