Yep. I have thought about and still thinking about doing this. Im not a very good liar and it may just be easier. At the end of the day I am planning on getting a new job (with actual work) ASAP anyway.... Im just worried about how they will react. I went through some shit there awhile ago where they were trying to get rid of me with no real reason but I dug my feet in and stayed..... Its annoying cause I left a job of 5 years for this shite hole!

Only one way around it ... tell the truth or apply for four hours leave ... they can not fire you for that. Challenge them on the fact that there is little or no work.

I told my boss today that while the projects are phased the way they are at the moment there is little for me to do for the next week ... we found something to add to the workload and I am taking some time-in-lieu before the herceptin ride this week.

How about this: Stop worrying and make a promise to yourself that you'll never be dishonest for the rest of your life (I'm not talking brutal honesty - just honesty) - it's easier in the long run, it's more respectable and you will come out on top!
