    Calling all bullshit artists!

Seeing as there are quite a few of us on KB I was hoping that ya'll may be able to help me out here....
I need a good excuse to have a morning off work but somehow still get paid for it with annual leave sometime next week. Ive only been at my job for about 5 months so cant actually apply for leave. Anyway Im going to a job interview but cant really tell them that! Ive been racking my brains trying to think of something but cant. I was hoping you lot might be able to help. Pretty please!

    Will sick leave not do?

Edit - read all the way up to the last post...ooops.

My suggestion would be to say you have an appointment at the bank/or whereever and ask work if you can do some extra hours before the day, so you can have the time off when you need.

So unless you went to tailand for a small op you still qualify for the same "problem"

I thought that with Annual Leave you can take whenever you like as long as you have accumulated enough to cover what you are after? Maybe my contract is a good one if this is not the case for you. Sick leave I know you aren't entitled to until you have been in your place of employment for over 6 months.

Are you sure you dont have any annual leave. Most people start accruing leave from the moment they start work. Usually companies state that you must be at work for 1 yr before you are eligible, but that just means if you have been there for 6mths you have still accrued 6mths worth of leave e.g half the yearly amount. Most companies allow you to take accrued leave.

Yeah I can but I had two annual leave day's last week and after Xmas that was all I had owing. That's why I only want 4 hours, that way if they wont pay me then sweet it wont kill me....

Anyway I need some excuses people!!! Not to elaborate, but kinda, if ya know what I mean....
