eek Thinking of selling my bike

    Hi Guys and Girls

I have had a great time riding here but with the rising cost of fuel, the damage the roads can do to the bikes here, the lack of roads in my surrounding area & a good friend not riding any more it's got me thinking about giving up the Giixer.

So if anyone is interested in a mint K4 Gixer 750 please let me know and we can talk details.

    Taz

A big Thank you to Marty at typeface for sponsoring me to have a go in my first race

Thanks to Steven at kittyosheas for building the computer program we're using at the sprints and the Hill Climb.

Why do you say there are no roads to ride round here? Maybe you need to change your point of view or style of bike you ride?
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Dude that's a bugger to hear! Sure there aren't other good people around now to ride with, and roads you could travel to to play on....

Just quietly after our chat about vision and riding in reference to my boy I found it really inspiring and heartening to find you had similar difficulties growing up and have managed to still enjoy Motorbikes...something I am fearful that he might want to get into but may not develop enough quality vision to do safely.

Hmmm, Wellington isn't lacking quality roads IMHO.

But I can attest to the fact that the Gixxer is a very nice bike

Good luck with the sale mate - unless of course you decide to keep it after all

Don't worry - they can work magic these days.
As long as he doesn't bring the "DIE DIE DIE" attitude out there he should be perfectly fine
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

    Whatttttttttt!!!!!! Noooooooooo!!!!!!!
Just a sec, my head's spinning.......
    Ok, calm, composed.
I guess in a way it's a fair call, but you kinda love your yellow gixxer,.... don't you?? Are you thinking of giving up riding all together for a while, or just selling the gixxer and getting something else, something more reliable, like a Honda maybe??
Wasn't so long ago Nige went through a 'going to give up riding blah blah blah' thing, then discovered a different bike. Maybe a change of bike and scenery is what you need? (and I don't mean a scooter). A ride around the South Island maybe? Or you could build and race a bucket

Taz, isn't there a little iron that you spent all those years in the UK riding on those shit roads with salt and Gatso's, and smaller minded police and then you come to NZ and give it up?

And the other thing, no bike means you can't watch the MotoGP or WSB anymore, its not allowed.
Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
