    Question Hyosung GT250R '06 model - fuel sending unit apparently faulty?

    Hey all

    Well an interesting little thing happened to me at work today. I noticed on the ride in that the Whoflung was sounding a bit gutless at times and I wondered if perhaps it was out of gas however my fuel bar on the dash said that I've got 3/4 of a tank left, so I thought sweet as. I tried to go for a ride during my lunch hour and funnily enough the bike stopped and wouldn't start again. Being rather new to biking I was rather baffled so I ended up calling AA who came and filled my tank up for me - problem solved although I ended up looking like a bit of a n00b.

    One of my workmates works on cars a lot and he thinks the problem is that the fuel sender is broken on the bike and needs to be replaced which is why my dash was saying I had 3/4 of a tank left however I was running on fumes. Has anyone experienced this kind of thing before and if so what is the best and quickest way to get it resolved, and how much are we talking cash wise?

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    The Hyosungs are a bit of a mixed bag with there electrics, some are reliable as a Swiss watch & some you just want to pour petrol all over & burn

    The best thing I can suggest is that you whip the thing round to your nearset dealer & get them to have a squizz, if it is indeed a fault with the sender unit in the tank chances are it will be replaced under Warranty...
