    Not necessarily.

    You can live right next door, but if they are pair sharing, as they do at many RLUs and NEAX 61Es you may well be right out of luck altogther. NZ's PSTN defies the generally accepted rules thanks to some undisclosed corporation refusing to reinvest in infrastructure and then piling crappy fix after crappy fix on top of each other.

    They shouldn't be spending ANYTHING on extending a copper network AT ALL.

    Had not intended to get too technical, but exactly what I mean by sharing... ...of course, could be worse if you were off a K, or even an M!!
