What happened to this wiki? It seems to have hung around on the web until 2014 or so https://web.archive.org/web/20140721...wiki/Main_Page although it looks like the number of articles was fairly static from at least 2010 and nothing was added after 2013. Is there a discussion on why it died? Is there a backup anywhere, perhaps a database dump?

I think probably people migrated to the various motorcycle group on Facebook. I did, but got tired of the frequent reposting of tired jokes and the difficulty of filtering out subjects I'm not interested in and have unfollowed or left them.

The advantage of a forum is that you can scan "New posts" and immediately know in almost all cases from the thread title whether it's worth clicking through. The advantage of a wiki is that it becomes a storehouse of knowledge, and the search facility is pretty good. Categorisation also helps find topics of interest.
