Ive been riding my bike to work for 5months now and yesterday recieved a ticket for $40 for parking on a footpath.
What a whole lot of shit, 1st, its designated area for push bikes as it has the stands u can use, 2 scooters where ticketed aswell
2nd, do they want me to take a whole entire car park to my self? and pay for it
3, i think they should have parking for all viechles
4, Wheres the nearest m.bike parking near britomart as i work in CPO building
5 Auckland city sux balls!

Ill be writing in to politly tell them to shove the ticket up there ass, any one got any ideas?

Mate that sucks big time. I park the bike in a car park. Right in the middle so everyone can see her. Its way safer the husband tells me. Time will tell I guess.
When you write them dont forget to mention the fact that there are no m.bike parking facilities nearby and the bike stand where you were parked is for bikes. Good luck

Well seeing as you were parked in an area for pushbikes and the ARC have banned parking on footpaths I suggest that you do not tell them to shove the ticket up there ass, you would be better reading the back of your letter and going through the correct disputes process or your fine will become $70 in a couple of months and then $170 in 4 months.

There's an arse load of parking at the Downtown carpark and it's all free for bikes. In the carpark and across the road from it.

ARC = Auckland Regional Council
ACC = Auckland City Council

It will be ACC you got your ticket from, not ARC.

Firstly, it's an arse. Secondly check your spelling and punctuation when writing your letter. Thirdly re-read your ticket. You will be surprised to learn that the ARC had nothing whatsoever to do with its issuance, so make sure you address your venom to the right agency.
