hopefully she was pretty keen last time. be a first for me with pillion on track. so would take it easy as not to be smacked in back of head for scaring her lol
Hey kiwifruit, what's the rules around mounting cameras? Anything that's a definite ?
As long as its not going to come off or be an issue if you come off (sharp brackets, or brackets that you could impale yourself on).... or feature anything that protrUdes off the bike that could get in the way, etc etc
common sense
what sort of set up are you wanting to use?
PLEASE:
is it possible anyone going from auckalnd being able to give me a ride there and back? i would like to get down there to marshall for you guys (it will also help me with last weekends event on the hairpin going and doing a small event)
please pm me if you can help need to know asap so i can call kiwifruits mum to confirm..
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.
Not really sure.. Got a Sony W80 camera which can record video pretty well but have no idea how to mount it.
Looked at the ram site but not sure which bracket to use. Maybe the one that bolts on to the front brake mount but then I'm not sure I could position it ok because of the radial master cylinder and/or the distance. I've attached a pic of where I'd like the camera.
The other option is to go bullet cam but then I'm looking at mount+cam+recorder and I have no idea where to get a good cheap bullet cam.
cool, that will take good footage
best bet would be a mount from the hole in the middle of the triples, using a "stem mount"

another option is mounting from the gas tank bolts like this:

not as good as a stem mount... can get in the way and isn't as stable
Aaaahhh a picture is worth a thousand words. Seeing the little plug on those I now get how they work.
Had been looking at this but I thought you had to take the nut off or some shit.
Perfect. Ram look pretty handy with the modular design so might go for one of those. Can probably leave the ball in all the time and just clip the camera on when I get the muse.
I'm hoping it's low enough under the screen to not be mega windy but only testing will tell.
