mmmmm I see a chance to make some coin here
how about we hold a raffle for the amount of bins, say number 1 to 10 and you pay $5.00 per number you choose, the winner takes all ?

So Im up for number 2, ie I reckon there will be two bins........ so whos in ?

    1/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10 left

fucking coro rides should be banned on account of the Morons who often turn up who get confused what a public road is for.
Ive run out of fucks to give

One can only hope that this ghoulish bullshit will give a few morons pause and reduce the chance of carnage.

And whenever you tried to overtake anyone you would sit right on their ass so they didnt know you were even there since you were barely going much faster!

Youve got a squidfest on two wheels right there.

How about everyone ignores the obvious shit stirring that the "few" are attempting, and suceeding in doing to get people wound up?

    Novel idea I know.

If they turn up, I am sure that there are enough sensible heads there to firstly warn them about what is ok and what is not, and then if they choose to ignore that advice, I am doubly certain those sensible heads will leave these children in no doubt as to how they feel about it.

I think I can get something sorted via Bayride Motorcycles and I know of someone else is possibly able to front a prise or two...
As DMNTD has said, I'm prepared to put a helmet up as a prize. Everyone who completes the ride without an accident goes in the draw. I'm currently trying to get others interested in putting forward prizes.

The chances of me putting anything up for a prize for getting safely around the Coromandel loop are nil! What a load of shit!

Seriously mate, nice sentiment and all but...

Is this prize draw just for this ride, or will it encompass all loop rides?

I dont want a chance to win a new helmet for riding within my capabilities and riding a ride. Having said that my Shoei has a bit of a defect in it and I do need a new one, I have not fallen off my bike for 3 years (and that was the dogs fault) surely that counts?

Perhaps you could extend this offer to all rides. I took one from Warkworth to Mangawhai on the weekend, we had some very quick riders with us, no one binned, we got no tickets either. Happy to give you names to enter in the draw.

That's actually a damn good idea. 'kin ell, maybe you do have some real motivation to get people riding safely.

I'll put my money where my mouth is too. How about a bottle of Glenlivet as second prize for the draw (obviously to be consumed after riding)?

Hang on, back up a ways there, Mom.

The Coro loop is probably the most notorious North Island riding route for serious bins. We all know why.

Making this particular ride (which looks like it'll be a biggy) a special occasion as per Katman and DMNTD's suggestion could be an excellent way of getting folk thinking along "don't be a squid" lines.

I'm prepared to set aside my reservations about Katman's approach to date and support this effort; I think it's a good idea on its own merit.

Perhaps a local(to you,Kaiwaka maybe)) shop or two could help out Anne.

KB Coro rides are renowned for less than safe rides(I'm well aware of my past antics too btw)...if this approach may help out surely it's a good thing?

Thanks mate! I take that really personally, just so you know.

I admire the sentiment you are showing, but doubt it will take effect. Good luck with it.
