On a big Buddhist forum (35,000 members) they have a rule that whenever you quote Buddhist scripture you have to give exact references and line numbers. Hard core. That's like saying you have to give workshop manual page numbers when helping someone fix their bike.

I guess you gotta expect that kind of thing from religious nutters.
Oh, and you are called "Junior Contributor" until you have 1000 posts on there, then you get called "Contributor".
Under 100 posts and you are "Just Looking".

actually, i agree that there have to be rules,
that the person owning the site gets to set them
and those he delegates to get to enforce them .......

but, having said that, i think onearmedbandit's post was MUCH more impactive as it was originally,
without my 'censorship-to-demonstrate-a-point' .
