apparently it has oil in it to stop it freezing at high altitude, but i know a few guys who mix avgas with 91 without problems. they reckon it runs well
imho you'd be wasting your money

Hi
I've been told to always run a minimum of 95 in two strokes, the fact that you mix oil with the fuel dilutes it.
At 50:1 thats 2% will bring '91 down to'89.
Have also heard reports of '91 gumming up carbies on outboards.
you do realise that the engines would have been designed to run like that right?
higher octane is *in theory* only good if you're running high compression. the reality seems to be that BP98 has the right additives in it (or lack thereof) to actually make it run better on smaller engine.
Also an idea to note that your little engine (or more to the point the carb) was probably tuned using 91, so it's entirely possible that it would actually run worse, or in the case on a little nq50 I used to have not at all after trying to run on 98.
only one way to find out for sure
