Yep, I get where you're coming from but I also see that men are pressured as well. At the end of the day if you care that much about what people think of you then you're stuffed!
I got a new job last year. They hate me cause I wont wear skirts, make up or style my hair. I told tyhem to get stuffed basically. I dress smartly and at least I brush my hair in the morning. we dont deal with clients and I am here to do my job not enter a fucken fashion parade/ beauty pageant!

Nowadays, women have to be an individual of many facets:

Mother, wife (respectable in public, but naughty between the sheets), a business woman...

and the list goes on...hardly simple, and maybe satisfying for some, but very much frustrating for so many...

What is the answer on a grand scale though? I don't think there is any...unless we are to make changes on an individual basis, and see that each of us make the changes and find the balance that makes us happy.

PS: this is also very much valid for men btw...

Hmmmm how do I get the chicks from our office to have a work day at the beach like in pic 2?

Crikey as for the can't win issue, I'm OK as long as the women are good at ironing as that is one of the chores I'm plain crap at - would end up putting unwanted creases in the clothes.
    Cheers

Why iron anyway, if you hang the washing out right after it's finished in the machine then fold it neatly it'll be virtually creaseless... Take it from a chick who's been practising this for years!

And yeah, there's a lot of pressure on guys too... Gotta be strong and unemotional, which isn't fair at all really.

Yeah. Portraying Heilen as a woman and then expecting others to be like her... Shocking.

Good move. Ironing causes cancer and that can be proved!
Just check the life history of a cancer victim. Did they ever iron anything? Viola!!

Well of course. Society can be a bitch and a half and ain't that the truth.

I think guys get a bit more slack than chicks but in some areas your average guy can get treated like shit. It's not only the fact they're not allowed to have any sort of "softness" in their emotions, i.e., being sad because their dog died or something. Guys are expected to thump someone if they're upset, not have a cry... And I'd totally rattle of some more but I bet a guy could tell it to us better.

I must say that kiwi women are a bit of a mystery to a foreign male like myself. I've met only a few young (<30) kiwi women whose company I found enjoyable (and we're not talking sex here - just girls that aren't airheaded simpletons).

However, those that doesn't fall short on that criteria are usually delightful and engaging company!

On the other hand - I'd dare say the same thing goes for their male counterparts (again, not sex... ). Unless you want to talk rugby and holden vs. ford that is.

Can't blame the women for shortcomings that are present on either side of the gender barrier IMHO. (i.e. beerguts are not charming regardless of your gender...)
