Truly horrible. My thoughts and sympathies with all who know these (as yet unknown to me) riders. My fear is they are people I know well.
"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "

According to Frosty on the other thread Aria, TwoSmoker and JayRacer weren't involved.

Sad way for the series to end.

Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

Motorcyclists killed in Pukekohe race smash

A mechanical failure may have contributed to a fatal motorcycle crash at Pukekohe Park raceway this morning.

Two motorcyclists, who have yet to be named, were killed after they collided on the back straight in a race about 11am.

Emergency services were on the scene immediately but could not do anything for the riders.

Police spokeswoman Darragh O'Riordan said early estimates were that one of the motorcyclists was travelling about 260kmh when the crash occurred.

"It seems that the crash happened when one of the racers struck the other from behind," she told NZPA.

"We believe that the bike in front was slowing and may have had a mechanical failure, but we don't know for sure at this stage."

The motorcyclists were competing at a meeting organised by the Auckland Motorcycling Club which included the fifth round of the New Zealand Superbike Road Race Championship.

Already a thread on this in another section, but thought i'd post the media release up in the main section of the forum. Mods - remove if you feel so inclined.
This my neighbor, Nursultan Tuleiakbay. He is pain in my assholes. I get a window from a glass, he must get a window from a glass. I get a step, he must get a step. I get a clock-radio, he cannot afford. Great success!
