To all those involved on an 'official' level, DO make sure you talk about the matter to wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, parent or whoever.

My job used to be dealing with fatal road crashes day in day out and family liaison, its important NOT to bottle up any thoughts or feelings in relation to an incident such as this.

DON'T underestimate the affect it can have on you and your families and use any help offered.

    Take care all.
I have to agree with this after being involved with a fatality as an official. The family (and myself) benefitted from being able to discuss things. I was hesitant at first but a psychologist I went to see for support suggested writing my thoughts on a condolence card as a starter with my contact details included. The family appreciated the opportunity to talk further.
It is really important that people are not pushed into discussing detail of the "incident" if they do not want to. If you want to talk, talk with someone you trust when you are ready.
    2cents.

Seriously - all credit to those that race bike I cannot even begin to understand - i don't think for a second you go into this with your eyes closed but this is aimed at the delicate souls... Harden the fuck up... Look around you next time YOU go for a ride and look how little is between you and the grim reaper.. 2 mm of fibre glass, 2mm of leather and a whole lot of luck - this shit happens - every fuckin day...

For christ sake - why do you think the HD chopper guys go in for the whole David mann painting thing IF they have been riding any length of time?

EVERY ride you see you mates riding as shades at you elbow and guess what - no matter how hard you try - you can't wash out the blood from some events.. It fucks you up for years... and every time you hear this it all comes back and the only way I cope is to say thank christ that today - it was not me.....

Yet - the savage joy that lays at the end of the throttle cable still exists - it's life - its joy - and some days - its death....

    Deal with it....

A bit harsh. I can understand where your coming from but I think maybe a little compassion this soon would go along way...

2 racers have lost their lives, left a big whole in the world of their loved ones family and friends, and the best a 51 year old geezer like you can come up with is "this shit happens every fucking day, harden the fuck up".

Mate it's tragedy unfortunate circumstances and if you don't have the compassion to feel remorseful towards their loved ones, as a 24 year old the only thing I can suggest is if you kept shut and stayed away from this thread.

    Thanks. RIP fellas.

You think I don't care? Fuck off - I care more than you will ever know but for fucks sake, you think I have not seen this before and felt it? It happens, and if you ...

Sorry buddy you're still lacking the maturity to see the situation from an even perspective. This thread isn't about what YOU have seen and experienced..it's about the lives of the close ones involved. Have a good night I think you need some rest.
