There are no words to describe how I feel.
My heart goes out to Derek and Phils families. I didn't know phil personally but understand his passion for a sport that bonds all of us in the same way. How can one not respect that commitment and how can all not be affected by it.
RIP guys, never to be forgotten.

    Delboy.......

Man are we gonna miss those bear hugs, the nights around the fire, deep conversations late into the night, your quirky txts at all hours, our friend not only to me and Jarrod but our girls. You were a special part of our lives and loved to live life we are grateful that you chose to live your life as friends with us going on 10 years.

It's not the end it's the start of special memories that we will hold dear to our hearts forever.

You have now picked up your racing game to race against the legends that have passed before you. You will always be our spirit in the sky.

RIP Derek, Delboy, Baldy, Balded, Bad Ass and any other names we called you! We love you.

    The Wintle Family

Its never good to read or hear of such a bad accident especially when the people are known to you.
I didnt have the pleasure of meeting Phil but Derek i knew and served under him on the Vic Club committe for a year through a couple of very hard situations.
Our sympathy to the families and friends of both Phil & Derek from all of us at Team Canbrace.

In a club that has been welcoming, encouraging and supportive; the Delboy has been a standout. It has been an all too brief honour to know him. Never short of encouragement and advice to this novice racer, and he always had time for a bit of cheek with my daughters. We've lost a great mate, a funny bastard (check out his avatar), and a leader who happened to be handy on a motorcycle. It wouldn't suprise me if Wikipedia now has a picture of Delboy in the definition of "Good C*%#".
Let's put on a good turn out in his honour on the memorial ride.
