Looking for an upholsterer in Auckland

I'm llooking for an upholsterer to get a seat recovered up in Auckland (preferably) and was hoping that someone out there can recommend anyone that they have used and does good work for a good price?

I am looking at getting this done over the next month or so and would appreciate any advice you out there have to offer.

    Cheers, Rhys.

I don't know any, but if you can buy (on teh interwobble) a seat cover kit for your bike, here are a couple of links to 'how to' pages http://www.bwringer.com/gs/seatcover.html
    http://www.dslextreme.com/users/bike...eplacement.pdf

for seat cover kits for a huge selection of bikes you could try
    http://www.saddlemen.com/dualsportindex.html
or these pages for their skin lists
    http://www.saddlemen.com/catalog/SaddleSkins_1.pdf
    http://www.saddlemen.com/catalog/SaddleSkins_2.pdf

they also have some installation instructions
    http://www.saddlemen.com/dualsportindex.html [though words only]
their saddle skins appear to be $65 US

Good dude in Kingsland, by the train station on the main drag. Guy rides bikes too...

Hey bro, there's an awesome dude called John in Sandringham on 188 C Stodard Rd who re-upholstered my rear seat into a custom look.

Give him a ring on 629-0184 or 0272709961 to double check his whereabouts.

He did a fantastic job of transforming my original black rear seat into a red one with a white trim of the edges which replicates the look of a seat cowl.

All I can say is that he's a real professional at doing his job and does alot of stuff involving old bikes and scooters.

One thing to note is that do make sure that you explain yourself clearly what you want.

I haven't taken any pictures yet of my rear seat but have a look in my profile pic of the original seat and to the one below in comparison (it isn't my bike but you'll get the idea)

I went hunting for this shop today but couldn't find it. Went to a recovering place and the guy had a bike but he said he only does sofa's. Went next door to a tin-cup bike shop and he didn't have any ideas either so have come to a bit of a dead end here.

If you remember any further details can you please let me know. Most appreciated though. Cheers, Rhys. :-)

Yeah was it an older dude, with a really eccentric personality?? Sounds like the right place, he did a job for me a while back.
