The measure of a real wanker

And how come KB is full of them.

    I just don't understand.

Two motorocyclists die at Puke racing, a thread is started, people start to put their condolences in it and them some wankers start debating.

I just can't believe that people can't behave well in threads of mourning, and can't resist the urge to spout forth.

We sit here day to day bitching about society, labour, social wellfare etc and quite a lot of you, some of whom clearly feel they are above the masses behave like retards and uneducated, dragged up twats at possibly the most sobering time of our lives.

Can the Mods, for !@#$ sake delete anything that is in an RIP thread that is in the remotest disrespectful.

I'd also like to say that in my cutlure as most, profanity and RIP don't go together. It makes you look like a twat, not a man.

Just saw who one of them was in the paper this morning.

Definitely not the sort of KB send off he deserved. Ask the Bruntons how much work Derek put in after Owen died.

This needed to be said. Family don't need to see foul language if they have a mind to check out the 'notices.'

FatJim you are so right. I had been watching that thread and was dissapointed in behaviour. I didn't even feel it was appropriate or me to add my condolances for people I never even know but I certainly wouldnt be telling people to harden up or put the f### word in my post.
Funny though even though I didn't know them when it was "2 riders died" it didn't mean much to me at all but when they were named they became real people with families who cared and others who had to deal with the situation there.

Think twice before you post to a thread that hurt and upset people may be getting comfort out of!!!!

Sensitive issue that maybe needs to be thrashed out beyond the eyes of the trawling public maybe, given that this kind of discussion usually ends in tears and abuse flying. I expect a bit of flak from posting what I am tonight actually.

I dislike the biker down threads with a passion, can not abide the "......." or the meaningless "RIP fallen rider" sympathy that some members use to show how they feel.

Me I dont post at all.

As far as the two men that were tragically killed this past weekend at Pukekohe and the thread that was started alerting us to the accident, I read it and was shocked and saddened that 2 lives were lost there.

My first reaction was "hate that track, time bikes refused to race there!"

Then I read a bit about what happened, and "sumised" that it was not a track failure, it was "mechanical" and blah, blah....
I have no idea what happened, I feel for the families and friends of those involved, the marshals ( I count my friends among them) and everyone that had to deal with this tragedy.

If you have nothing positive to say, or comforting in this case, dont post at all!

I would have to agree 100% with this thread. If you cant say something nice don't say anything or do it via the pm system

There are some insensitive (I am not sure they know they are being insensitive) people round here for sure.

I get a bit of the "it's an accident, I can't help but look" thing going on with the biker down type threads, but unless it's someone I personally know I don't post.
So it's a mystery to me why people write what they do in these threads, do they not realise family/friends will more than likely read this stuff.

    Pretty sad really.

I can see both side here.... why it was moved and why it should not have been moved.

No its not drivel, I think we all know its a very serious issue.... however a lot of emotion comes out in subjects like this, and I think the move has been done as a pre-emptive thing....

    I may be wrong.

However what I can say for sure is... and quite a few people in this thread know the "rules"... Fatjim if you really felt strongly about this, why did you not PM someone and work with them to get it resolved...

This kind of thread just stirs up the hornets nest, but does not resolve anything. So the aim in which is was created is lost.

That's actually an impossibility. The people causing the "issue" are so seriously self involved as to be sociopathic. They can't see that James has a point.

I know. These are people I have tried to engage in the past, and I've been told in no uncertain terms that my "attitude" is archaic and my point of view irrelevant. All that matters to these people is that they get what they want, right now. IMO they aren't really human, members of society, or people I would ever call "friend".
