    Suzuki Burgman screen

I have made an equiry with with the US manufacturer of LaminarLip screen attachments to make a purchase ($84 US plus freight). Not sure if they will supply international but can only ask. If it is a positive response do any other Burgman owners want to combine an order with me? I am happy to coordinate and pay and you can reimburse me when they arrive. www.laminarlip.com also plenty of positive comments on www.burgmanusa.com tim

DougB brought one of these lips when her brought his burger. I think he found it Ok. Be interesting to see how it compares with the Givi screen that Dave Lobster has. I've found the original screen a little disappointing, the way the rain whips around and is then sucked into the dash area. Although the vent at the bottom of the screen is supposed to negate/reduce the lower pressure behind the screen in order to eliminate that. DaveL does the rain flow away from you with the new screen?

DougB are you there? How about an update

Once you've fannied about with an exchange rate, and postage, does it work out a LOT cheaper than a Givi screen at $220?
It'll still not be braced, so will blow around just as much as the standard one.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

I like my laminar lip but got it during the run in period and never experienced the standard screen at speed.

The Burgmanusa site has heaps of comments about the lip

OK DL, I see your photo. The problem is the std screen spills the air directly onto my helmet making a hell of a racket, which is sooo wrong for a bike likre this. I am 183cm (5'11"). How does the Givi screen compare and is the removal of the existing screen and installation of the Givi reasonably straight forward? Any other comments. tim.

With the Givi, you end up sitting behind it. (You need to be moving when it's raining) There isn't half as much wind noise. But.. you just hear other noises. The inlet noise is annoying. It's not like a bank of carbs that makes a nice noise.. it's just a loud mooing noise. But that's big gay autos all round..

Swopping it over is a piece of p1ss. Six bolts.

Thanks for the (humorous) reply. i will look into it. I had a prompt reply from Luminar and no problems buying direct from them, I guess that option would cost no more than $150 NZ. Need to make a decision now. May see you around.
