    honda cbr 250rr for sale

Hi, my son has decided to definately sell his bike, so here's the details, it's got a new wof and is registered, has done 53,000kms and is good mechanically, it has some cosmetic fairing damage and a dent in the tank, nothing that prevents it getting wofs though. here's some pics including the damaged side.

well I always reckon you can't do too badly with a honda, they do seem more reliable than some other kinds of bike......

$2000 wow! What else is wrong with it? Is the motor ok? When is the warrant and rego due? I noticed it is a little bit untidy, how many time has it been dropped? What else has been fixed? Thanks

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH except for thier reg/recs hahahahahahah. Nope but the cbr and zxr are the 2 best handeling 250's in my opinion. And i have heard that thier engines are indestructable.

it hasn't been dropped since my son has had it, there is nothing wrong with it other than the fact it is untidy, there are lots of little cosmetic issues that are probably not worth worrying about unless you are a perfectionist, eg choke lever is missing but it has a homemade one that works fine, some fairings are in need of fibreglass patches to prevent deterioration etc, it has a mother of a dent in the tank caused by the previous owner when he dropped it, we bought it with damage and reg on hold, put new tyres, brake linings, fork seals and front tyre on, as well as replacing the mirrors with new ones and buying a new mirror bracket, it has only been dropped once as far as I'm aware, the wof is very new, like got it on friday last week, reg is due in 2 months, only buying it in 3 monthly lots, the bike is a great little runner, and is good fun to ride, my son can't afford to keep it cos he is a student and doesn't have a job, and these bikes don't like to be kept idle in the shed for months at a time, oh yeah and I have put new irridium plugs in it too

Sweet, my mate bought a CBR250rr excact same as this for $5500. I might just think about it if it doesn't sell straight away. How fast does this go and when was the last tune up? I wouldn't be able to buy it til around xmas but Ill see what I think then if you are still selling it. Cheers

well, I am not the sort of person to try and thrash the ring out of a bike, but my son says he has had it go over 200kmph, i wouldn't recommend that speed to anyone however except maybe on the racetrack.
as for tune ups, well we have never had the carbs tuned my husband is a mechanic and knows you don't fiddle with the carbs on these bikes unless you know what you are doing and it is running fine so best to leave it alone, it has new irridium plugs and has been recently serviced, eg new oil and filter. your friend that paid $5,500 probably got one with no fairing damage and possibly with lower kms, this bike is not tidy.

just wanted to add, that the only reason the bike is so cheap is because we are living in Gisborne and also the bike is not in mint condition, it still looks ok in my opinion and is mechanically sound which is the main thing, a lot of money has been spent on the bike to get it to a warrantable stage and this is how much it owes my son. It would be ideal for someone to buy for the purpose of getting out on the track or wants it as a first bike. It is a good buy at this price, it is the rr model which is the more expensive of the cbr 250's
