That's the easy way. I have a pair of Diadora boots that are very comfy to walk around in as they're shorter than full touring boots. Still have shoes at work so I don't wear out my expensive riding gear. The Diadora's are also nice and waterproof and warm in winter.

Because they're comfortable and look normal under jeans I wear them commuting and if I'm visiting friends etc. I know I'd be tempted to wear normal shoes if I only had full length touring boots.

Need a new set of touring boots for the next trackday though. Have to give the Sidi's I've got on loan back.
