    Sea Hunt it was.

I used to fall backwards into my Grandfather's swimming pool in emulation.

I liked Lloyd better in Flying High.

Hey Jim, at least for us to come to your country we have to prove we have skills, and can speak english.
Anyone...............and I mean ANYONE gets to come into the UK and be looked after by the state.
Our jobs are being advertised in multiple languages, but if you dare to mention it you are a racist.
We have spy cameras everywhere but gun and knife crime is through the roof. In fact today in Liverpool (Anfield to be precise) a woman cyclist was dragged from her bicycle and stabbed to death by a car driver.

On many of our roads we now have Average Speed Checks ie. if you are just above the speed limit along a given length of road you get fined and points on your licence. In Scotland the longest of these Average Speed roads in over 20 miles (30 Km) in length. Can you imagine what it is like trying to concentrate on everything going on around you AND being enough of a maths genius to know whether you have been speeding?

Our schools have bars around them.

We imprison elderly people who are unable (because they are on a fixed income) to pay their council Tax (a local tax) but let murderers and rapists go free because we do not have enough prison spaces.

we live in a mad country. I know yours has its problems but from where we are standing you have a piece of paradise.

If you do up and leave, where are you headed to?

Other crossover shows include one where the Clampetts, Milburn Drysdale, and Miss Jane spend both Thanksgiving and Christmas of 1968 in Hooterville on The Beverly Hillbillies; QUOTE]

Do you reckon Miss Jane was a virgin or not? (On the show of course)

You're in for a bit of a shock I think.

I have a job interview in Jakarta in June. I plan to install the family in Perth and spend some time working around the world if it works out. Then come back to Perth and retire. I'd see more of my family doing it that way than I do living in the same house with them in NZ. I am very tired of 12-18 hour days and terrible pay and conditions.

Patriotism is virtually non existent in this country. if it was rampant, more people would be signing up with the armed forces, police, education, fire service and the ambos.

Next, crime is going down? no it isnt, reported crime is going down, big difference.

Next, I think I should start the none of the above party, im sure lots of people would vote for that when none of the above turns up on the ballot :

He was played by Jim Nabors who was an opera trained singer. His signature tune was 'The Impossible Dream'. I have it on CD, it's absolutely brilliant.

[The] education system has collapsed. The majority of the education spend goes into the blue sky end of the ministry, not teaching. Primary insitutions have no teachers and no money for infrastructure development.... In the meantime the young folk of NZ convince themselves that they can get by without basic communication skills, financial skills, or inter personal skills.

Our health system has collapsed, we no longer maintain our transport or telecommunications infrastructure. All things that Joe Blow who rarely uses these things directly, especially as each gender moves away from commited relationships and children, both things that mean you HAVE to access the previously mentioned failed systems at some point.

A subtle slow decay is difficult to spot, but always ends with a sudden catastrophe.
To be honest, with a tiny bit more editing, that would sound more or less exactly the same as the the state the UK is in at the moment.

There ain't a western country around at the moment that doesn't have comparable social problems. At least in NZ it has been conclusively proved that the grass actually is greener (4.7% above the global average, according to the International Institute of Idiomatic Herbology).

Yes there are serious problems, but there are compensations: the weather's better, the beaches are nearer and less crowded, there are some mint biking roads on my doorstep (even though I live in the centre of the biggest city on the country), and trackdays are affordable.

So for me it was a choice between living in a country that has the same problems but without the compensations, or living in a country that had the compensations.

If you had kids you'd see what I was complaining about. As an adult with no children you aren't privileged to the active social engineering that goes on and the repression of diversity (unless you are "ethnic" of course). Kids are encouraged to lean on state resources for values education and "safety" issues, to the point where it is OK for kids to dob parents in to the Police. This suits the social engineering crowd as they get to pick where the kids land up. There is NO way you get to keep your kids if your 6 year old accuses you of sexual or physical abuse, despite being led to that conclusion by state funded means and aggressive personal interrogation without parental participation.

Gawd, I look like a "UFO abducted me and anally probed me for hours" freak. sigh. Any country where you live in fear and are subject to active State funded aggressive criticism on a repeated basis has no compensations.
