Yes, but you're short, so we can keep on complaining, right over the top of you.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Yes NZ has problems... in the big picture it is not even remotely at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to countries in the shit.... yet the people tend to whinge and moan and lot more comparatively

    That’s just an outsider’s view...
Sincere question, is that just the NZ way?

Yep. We're all whingers. Descended from a long line of whingers. And we don't have a sense of humour or irony either.

Yes, I know it's old. I know it has been posted before. I know that there are real complaints in this thread.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

The problems we have are every bit as bad as anywhere else because we've created an environment were success is shunned, difference are only tolerated if you are "ethnic", and our standard of living is plummeting as fast as our personal debt per head of capita rises on rocket boosters. Argentina's economy is in a better state than ours and they were taking their weekly pay home in wheelbarrows a decade ago.

"Outsiders" are looking for overt symptoms of economic and social decay that fit their originating milieu. NZers OTOH just keep trucking to the beach and the bush and let successive Governments become ever more divorced from performing their duties of governance and express surprise when things they took for granted are removed, when services no longer function as they used to, and when they can't get by without large mortgages, CC debt and personal loans. We've never experienced a rapid decline in economic or social status, we don't have violent intentions being visited upon us by neighbouring states or internal confilct, so therefore everything is sweet. It isn't. Our education system has collapsed. The majority of the education spend goes into the blue sky end of the ministry, not teaching. Primary insitutions have no teachers and no money for infrastructure development, unless they invest heavily in bi-culturalism or start a special education unit so they can access the billions in grants avaialble in both areas. In the meantime the young folk of NZ convince themselves that they can get by without basic communication skills, financial skills, or inter personal skills. Our workforce used to be transportable. Our health system has collapsed, we no longer maintain our transport or telecommunications infrastructure. All things that Joe Blow who rarely uses these things directly, especially as each gender moves away from commited relationships and children, both things that mean you HAVE to access the previously mentioned failed systems at some point.

A subtle slow decay is difficult to spot, but always ends with a sudden catastrophe.

To be blatantly honest - NZ is crap

I used to see it though rose coloured glasses many moons ago.
Before i met my misses, before i broke my leg, before i went uni, but after i started working.
    I thought NZ was fantastic.
Sad fact of the matter is that here we are so full of our shit - that we think nothing i bad here. We tell our kids that nothing is bad here. The news tells us nothing is bad here.
Yet is "Dont-mention-the-fucking-war" when it comes to all the shit aspect of my home country.
We aren't about solutions here, just sweeping problems under more annoying problems. Child abuse........Dont smack ya kids......
Never mind the wankers that drink drive home, pissed as fuck and beat this shit out of their kids. Why would they be scared of such a pussy law and that the lack of police would be unable enforce it.
What do you expect when a bunch of emotional know it all's run the country.

I did, as did 20% of our bothers and sisters here. 20% of the country did NOT vote last election as a big middle finger to the govt, yet it all falls on deaf ears as there is still a govt, and they still have the same numbers.
If this was South America the beehive would have been burnt to the ground and Guerrilla war would have broken out. But NZ not voting counts as much as pissing on the neighbors fence. What we need is the 'void' party where every seat they get will be left empty. Money can go to stuff the we need

Bugger. I'll have to find another explanation then. Are you really sure you're not a Pom? Maybe it's contagious...
