Question about accomodation in Taupo

Hey All,
If one was to be staying in Taupo next Saturday night (the 11th Dec), where would one be able to find cheap (as yo mama) accomodation?

Any ideas?

There's a motorcamp at the north end of town.
On the left just before you go over the bridge.
Cabins ect,cheap as.
Enjoy.

As Jackrat said that campground is cheap & close to town.
Otherwise check out www.jasons.com there are a number of backpackers in Taupo, Camelia Court motel have cabins $20 to $25 e-mail camellia.court@xtra.co.nz have stayed there and they are motorcyclist friendly.
