    muzzy exhaust for ER6!

well, at 25, 000 kms the exhaust of the ER6 appeared to have issues, it had developed a whistle, and the bike was getting snatchy at low RPM.
i suspected alot of things, but i decided to take a gamble on the exhaust thing.
On KB i found links to a american site listing a whole host of parts for the bike, so i purchased a muzzy exhaust, because i liked the look and the fact that it was stainless.
within 5 days i had the exhaust!
this pipe is loud, and the bike now sounds like a 4 stroke MX bike mixed with a vee twin...
performance is much smoother, especially at low RPM and the bike feels much more tractable.
so i am guessing the original must have been blocked!
$450 NZ is what it cost me, which i think is a great deal.

Looks good Carver and bet it sounds mean. Macstar has recently fitted a stumpy by Virgin Mufflers. Simlilar look but a bit cheaper. Combined with a DNA filter he reports an improvement in power as well, seat of the pants Dyno about 10%. Following him round Coro last week and back from Piha on Saturday Ive no reason to doubt his claims
