Relax Meekey, there IS a hard left hand (as in 180 degree max) turn off the main road, but just take it slow and expect it and it will be no dramas, promise! Wear a KB sticker and we'll see ya there

Can anyone go for a day, say just to check out bikes etc, not to stay the night?
I imagine a gate charge, dunno, never been to a CD.

I dont think you you get in the gate without paying the full entry fee.But if you do that , you're in, and when you leave is up to you.

Me and kanny will probably head over on Fri, (if I can get away), and probably stay at a mates place in Hastings Fri night.
Head to the Potangata pub for a rendevous, with others, and get to the site about midday sat.
Will give you a tinkle once the plan is known.

I am thinking of toddling over there Friday afternoon. Anyone else from Manawatu or environs doing the same? As I am a Cold Duck virgin ( of the rally kind, I am unfortunately old enough to remember that slightly alcoholic beverage of the same name ) anyone got any advice regarding where to camp or where not to camp ?

hmm heading to palmy before heading over but will be late morn .. have to stop in to PT's then a slight deviation at dannivegas before heading on to site ...

will have the new wheels so will be taking it easy while i get used to her

I am going to go cold duck on saturday morning leaving Feilding now 8am? in the morning does any one like two make a convoy from Feilding/P North or any one that is come threw P/North woodville to get to the cold duck NJ

Me and Lis will be heading up Saturday from Feilding. Picking up a Triumph Bonneville and riders on the way through Dannevirke.

Something rings a bell about a $20 charge for visitors. Lots of local cruise out for the day/evening and go home w/out staying

a group of us is heading out from palmy at midday from bp metro,your welcome to join us for a liesurely scoot if you want,no real good or bad places camping at the duck its just a good site alround.
