    Race sponsors

Have been told some funny stories lately, and have read about different scenarios happening in the past on KB'r

    Buisness sponsors

They are in it for R O I or simply for the fun of it?

So if YOU are currently sponsored by BLA BLA BLA

What gives you the write to abuse any one else from approaching them?

It is buisness, and that is NOT how buisness works

If this does happen to any other riders/teams out there

Please Please, do not lower your self to the level some have lately RE this issue, and I know these people will be reading this post and should be very very ashamed of there actions

    Yes, quite right.

    It is business 100%.

Sponsors are in it mainly for exposure, if they have the budget it makes sense to cover your bets and have your logos on more than one bike/vehicle.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes

Shaun I think you will get different responses from all the different sponsors. As you can see the above post states that it is 100% business, but I disagree.

The sponsor I organised ( for Jimmy) last season was not in it for business at all. He said "..if I was going to spend $XX,XXX on promotions mate it wouldnt be in motorcycle racing, I'm in for a bit of fun and if there is any exposure as a result then so be it, but it is certainly not what I'm in this for..."Others were more than welcome to approach the same sponsor..one did.. and was politely told that one hole in his pocket was enough but thanks for asking.

It's arguable that any business that says they are in it just for fun is either a) making too much money (highly unlikely these days) or b) saying that to justify a questionable business decision.

IMO it would be a pretty poor business person who gave away hard earned profit for no other reason than a bit of fun.

Lol, ah yes...but ....you do get work from it by word of mouth, don't you?
And, are you investing profits as in actual money or your time?

I know your time is worth money, however that is different to spending actual money from your business.
