Aaahh my favourite, a HTFU thread.

At school I have to dumb it down a bit so the kids just get told to HU. But in the real world there wouldn't be a week goes by that someone isn't told to HTFU.

Another personal favourite of mine is the very offensive but gets your point across HDGFS.

After a morning of running around in the rain setting up the cross country course at school, (and with the flu setting in) and as hard as I am, I had to come into the staffroom for a drink of water, only to have some old lady at a table yell out "don't bring those wet shoes in here". I just turned to her looked her in the eyes and replied HDGFS. Her reply - stunned silence which also describes the reaction of the staff in the staffroom.

I had been teaching at the school two years and had never seen the old duck before, but due to my wet, sweaty and agitated state I didn't give a shit (as it was my staffroom and all). Anyway thought I should let the Deputy principal know what I had said to the old lady in the staffroom, as I expect a complaint. Later that day found out that the old duck was the former Assistant principal and a real enforcer with the students back in her day. She was in doing relief that morning and must of thought she was still in charge when she let rip at me.

HDGFS ? = How does get fucked sound.

No complaint ever came from her in the end and she now says hello to me in passing. So, all I can think is that get fucked must of sounded ok.
