Try dry toast or water crackers. In saying that, I believe your body will tell you what it wants and when, so when you're really hungry try something dull and tasteless, eat it slowly, little nibbles, and if there's something you really feel like, try that too.

    Wait until you feel hungry.

Until then stay on water and Gastrolyte.

What variant do you have (In other words have you been to the doctor and had a poo spec analysed), as it does make difference to how long you can expect to be off your oats.

I've had Campylobacter (sp?) in the UK from a Little Chef (fuck them and the poisoned giant chicken they rode in on) and it was basically three days of sitting on the toilet head in the hand basin rolfing. Salmonella othoh seems a good deal less agressive but seems to hang about a bit.

Depends how long it's sat in your tummy, but if you bring it straight back up, then there's no point trying to eat, just wait until you feel like eating, can't force your gut to accept food if it just won't. If it's been longer than about 4 days however, I'd go to the doctor, may be something more serious than just plain old food poisoning and they may be able to give you something to help.

there is nothing you can do to speed up getting better with food poisoning. In actual fact eating will possibly slow recovery. Not eating is the best advice.
If it has gone right through your system could be as much as 10 days before you are feeling almost better again. Lots of fluid!!!

When your body is ready for food you will start to feel hungry. Bananas are nice and easy to digest and soft to bring back up if you do throw up again.

Havent been to the doctors as yet... $50 to say 'food poisoning' keep doing what your doing doesnt appeal. Imodium has helped greatly too.

I know what caused it... quality bakers heat n eat gas station burger (no chicken) just processed meat n cheese.
the mobil I got it from had a fridge that wasnt working, I think they must've moved the stock from the broken fridge unit to the one next to it, expiry date on it was 23rd march so figured it was ok, obviously not.

    Don't eat.

With good old campy, which is probably what you have, it just seems to feed the bug and prolong the misery.

Live on lemon-flavoured Powerade, Diet Coke and plenty of water and wait until you're sure you're 100% before you start eating.

Hey, at least it's a good way of losing weight (it certainly worked for me in China )

DON'T take Imodium it will exacerbate the problem and allow the colonies of bad stuff in your gut to grow in size and make the whole thing WORSE.

You do need to go to the Doc. It has gone on too long and if your electrolyte balance (which will be bad right now) gets really bad you can have all sorts of electrical issues with your heart.

copy that... *fills up another water bottle of gastrolyte*, at least it doesnt taste bad, kinda like h2go boysenberry water.

lol... my brother-in-law said that this morning 'lost a bit of weight suz?'... cheeky shit!!

Guess its a good detox in some ways. Fighting the caffeine withdrawl sucks.

Wont eat anything, just presumed that if I could eat something n keep it down it might've helped.

Yeah, nah, that's what I learned from my last bout. Gotta starve the bug out, unfortunately.

Use Diet Coke to stave off the caffeine withdrawal.

The only time you should use immodium is if you need to travel. Otherwise better out than in.....

A bus ride in some dodgy country with food poising isn't too pleasant
