Repairs should start 25/3, and take till late June-July.
The original Kauri struts below the water just couldn't handle the upgrade work so I've been told.
Engineers, pfft, everything works on paper aye.
Park a 40tonne crane on an old single lane bridge, and idle it all day, and something might just give.
yeah, i thought that was quite funny how it collapsed when they were ment to be upgrading it.
i wonder what the fallout from that was?

    Enjoy your break.
did the GP today, i wheelied the GSR over the part of the bridge coming out of the water.
the road is in much better condition than when i last went through there last.
but riding the GSR and the ER6 over that bridge was the highlight of the ride

They supposedly start repairs this week, so I'm picking the deck timbers will be removed quickly. Glad you got to ride over it.

No worries. Although walking on the bridge, you could feel that it was a little unstable.
Used a farm track to ride to Te Anga, and then back over the bridge.

Send us a PM if your interested. Would prefer not to post it's location, as it's on private farm land.
Two wheel drive cars won't get through. Road bikes will if it's dry, but expect to drop it in deep loam/sand soil on road tyres.
If it's been raining, then knobbly's will be required.
