Im looking for someone who is into high power model rockets.

I have few questions about engines and it would be great to have someone (other than the vendor) to get some info off.

For those who arnt - they are good for 10,000 ft - break the speed of sound and a simply bloody awesome.

How the hell can that be legal?? You could bombard Israel from Gaza with those babies. You could have a good go at hitting a plane coming in to land.
Watch out the Israeli Defence Force doesn't bomb your neighbourhood if they find you have rockets on the premises.

More information please, they sound cool. What brand, who makes them, where can I get some??

yup. Teaching it to my son - we just want to do BIGGER, rockets with MORE POWER, lots and lots and lots of noise and power. Did I mention power.

We are wondering if we can get one to over 760 MPH. We recon that we can. btw - thats over 350 meters a second.
    and thats ummmm really fast.

Honestly what are you trying to achieve? Wanna blow up something up? lol
The details sound lethal when used dangerously

Is it legal, is it safe? - yes indeed.

in fact there has never been a person hurt in 'proper' sport rocketry.

Here is a puppy that is good for 10,000 ft and Mach 1+ (yeah baby) and it ain't small.

    btw pics are not me.

You do have to get clearance from the aviation authorities and get certified be be legal to buy the motors (the expensive bit).

From Auckland the closest high power launch site is Taupri.

I'm on Youtube now, there are heaps of videos on there, fascinating!
Tank, have you read or seen Rocket Boys? Made into the film October Sky . I'm sure you have, it'd be a must-read for rocket enthusiasts.

    Thats just stupid!

it ruins the areodynamics. You have to put them in the cargo bay right above the ejection charge.

Looks cool. But how long do you get enjoyment from them for. I mean, like watch the blast off, a few seconds of flight, and then it's gone?
