Hornby.....lol that's not a typo

Since it seems my brother is moving out soon with anyluck, I will be having his room which is bigger than my own. With this new space, I was considering setting up a model railway, I would like a 8' x 4' but I might have to settle for 6' x 4', Just wondering does anyone have a good track idea for those sizes?

And on a side note, Hornby have released motogp scalextric this year, does anyone have them? Just wanting to see how good they are.

Had Tri-ang myself, didn't know Hornby still made railway sets! 6' X 4' sounds pretty small to me.
BTW the old man is right into his HO stuff, REAL scale engines and rolling stock, a lot from 30-40 years ago.

Being a railway guy myself I can run about four Hornby type (some are Lima) trains at a time on an 8x4 as I have part of one of the tracks running on a bridged track above the others. Tracks all have motor points of course. Basically you only have room for ovals with just a few kinks in and my top track is sort of kidney shaped to cross over the others. Sad it maybe but it shares my garage with 3 cars, 3 motorbikes, 4 pushbikes and a motor mower. What more can a man want other than the time for all these things? Oh that's right, forget the mower, I pay Jim to mow my lawns now.

Yep, Hornby are still going
Personal I like 00 better as the trains just the right size........lol it is kinda sad, but very fun

Used to have quite a nice train set meself, years ago. I never thought I'd be an old bastard with kids of my own, so I sold it (and almost everything else I owned, plus my sister's bicycle) to pay for my first bike.

Would've been really nice when my 3 boys were younger to have still had it...

Got me a flying Scotsman set last week, $425 though, but well worth it, though there was a mark on the loco, so I phoned up the shop and they were more then glad to replace it
