    Remember that one crashed at Ohakea a few years ago and they did eject the pod (cant remember if anyone was hurt of not)

    I was working at Warbirds over Wanaka all weekend. Saw the F111 quite a few times. scared the bejesus out of my kids.

    Only did Mach 0.9 - I think Mach 1 and above is illegal over land though so they don't fly about at full tit.

    Took me back to my days in the West of Scotland where the RAF flew exercises almost daily over the Kyles of Bute (with Submarines the size of tower blocks underneath)

    i was at warbirds both days. it was great. but on sunday we left as soon as the f-111 and c-17 flew over so we could go to queenstown for some luging
