    Go Piggy!!!

Alright, I love it when I wake up to these new items. My favourites are when you read about a hunter who has shot himself, his mate or another hunter!!!

    Hunter injured by wild pig

A hunter has been flown to hospital after being gored by a wild pig in the Mangaone Valley, near Wairoa, this morning.

The man was taking part in the annual Tiniroto pig hunt when the incident occurred about 9am.

It is understood the man was attacked by a pig he had bailed up. In the ensuing struggle, the hunter received a gash to his thigh and hand.

Because of the steep terrain of the area, the Lowe Corporation rescue helicopter was called and the man was flown to Hawke's Bay Hospital for treatment.

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.

Now there's a man who can look vegans in the eye and tell them to fuck off; he's earned his right to carnivorism.

Oh, and Dafe - go fuck yourself, bro. Meat-eating's been a way of life for humanity for millennia. Your embracing of a passing philosophical craze and consequent anthropomorphisation of dumb animals does nothing but paint you as a wittering limp-wristed idiot.

Edit: Would you like me to get the phone number of the family whose son was recently shot dead on a hunting trip, so that you can call them and gloat? I'll be sure to give them yours so that they can laugh at you the next time one of your mates dies on a motorcycle.

    Yes, it is brilliant, actually.

In my humble opinion, everyone who thoughtlessly consumes battery-hen eggs or feedlot beef should be forced out into the bush to do exactly what this guy just did.

Absoflutely. I have a great deal of sympathy for the vegetarian cause (although I'm not), and there are lots of reasons for eating less meat, but if you gonna eat it, you gotta be willing to kill it.

Whist I agree with the sentiment, I'd rather you didn't. I personally know both families involved in that tragedy...its a little close to home.

Next time I stick a knife into the still-beating heart of an animal I'm going to eat later that day, I'll give it an extra twist for you, you vapid bitch.

that was just a little uncalled for. I'd call for the mods, but it's not really worth it. it's only the peanut gallery that is jrandom

cheers jrandom, the world is a more colourful place with your face around.

besides, it was only a cut on the thigh and the hand according to the article (htfu).. it's not like he was killed, as the pig was going to be before it fought back in defense...

I did check my infraction points before posting, you know. I can afford an 'Abusive To Other Member(s)' right now, and believe me, that was worth it.

I take issue with your position. I'm sure you have worthy attributes in person, but you can't expect to go without an appropriate response when you place the well-being of a fucking wild pig over a human being's.

lol, no, you got me wrong.. i dont put the pig over the human.. i just think its funny that the pig got his own back in a "the hunter becomes the hunted" kinda way. more irony than anything else.. and i enjoy irony.. so shoot me

i don't put the life of anyone over another being, i don't believe one life should suffer for another. they were both hurt in the process of the hunt.. so therefore, they're even and no one got killed ^_^
