Just the nearly 15 year old son and I at home today, and I'm not going to let him waste the day gaming, so we went Mountain Biking!

Man, that is Hard Core! We had such fun though! And I can feel muscles I didn't know I had this morning. What a blast!!

But will be doing a nice ride to Welly and back tomorrow.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

mowed the lawns, did some washing, cleaned my truck
helped a mate shift her horses
    read the KB forum
    then........
sat in amazement reading the report on the two 16 year old girls seriously hurt last night in a CHCH stolen car crash, the driver was only days out of jail for a similar offence and did a runner, left the girls to die in a river!!!!!
one girl died this morning of the serious injuries recieved in the crash!
runied a really nice day. that was warm sunny and should have been enjoyed by all. my heart goes out to the girls family.
Fucken soft law courts! The driver should be drawn and quartered!

sorry hope most of you had a good day
I bet some awsome rides were had

It's been a beautiful day here in the Naki, Had lunch up the mountain and rode all the way round it, coffee over looking the sea then back home to build a wall unit and make dinner.

This is where it goes tits up. Got myself a curry recipe off the Internet and followed it to the letter Thing is some bastard changed the measurements from tablespoons to teaspoons half way through and I kinda missed that bit, so the resulting curry, verry tasty, was like something you'd dig out of a pit at Rotorua covered in gravy.

Man this fugging house stinks and we're gonna put some toilet rolls in the fridge for tomorrow

All in all, a damn fine day thanks for asking. oops gotta run
    Oh bugger

    You devil you.
Actually, I got my daughter (27) on pillion for a wee local pootle, too. She has refused for years and isn't very keen on bikes, But I do keep asking, so I was real pleased and not a little surprised when she said yes.
Deep down I think she enjoyed it.

No thanks! I'm exhausted after my little effort today...

I have yet to climb that mountain, even after living there for 18 years! My brother invited me to climb it with him last year, but it poured down with rain the weekend I was down So it's still on my list of 'to-do's. If you want to climb to the top, allow about 6 hours up and 5 down... My dad climbed it in when he was in his 50's about 3 times! But heaps of people take the weather cheap and don't allow enough time, so be warned! It's one of the most dangerous mountains in the country because of it's accessibility.

    Have a good weekend Martybabe!
