You strike me as a cat kinda person, (pretty sure I saw a picture of you and a cat some place), and you think one life is as important, blah blah.... Seen the furry critter killing mice in a humane fashion lately? Not bloody likely, your cat being fed daily, means it only catches other animals for sport, yep, just for the fuck of it. Cat thinks, "I aint that hungry, but damn if I'll let that smaller animal walk around all cocky like".

You ever notice how they fuck them up a bit, then just watch the maimed wee beastie drag itself round with only front legs workin?

In the imortal words of Mikey, I might be one, but I fuckin hate hypocrits.

How the hell can you get enjoyment from another person being killed or shot?

Mate, you need your bloody head read.

For fucks sake, check your signature before you criticise others views of firearms use.

It's a quote from Bruce Willis in Die Hard. Cool movie eh

Also I wasn't criticising anyones views of firearm use.

I was talking of someones enjoyment of discovering another person shooting himself, Shooting his mate or killing another hunter which I think is a little harder hitting than a movie quote.

Oh yeah, I'm a hunter too and take my firearm safety very seriously to insure that no one will come to any harm from a stupid mistake.

Killed a shitload of rabbits in the weekend too, Sorry no hunters were killed for your enjoyment.

ummm...not at all actually...and your not really being funny...just ignorant!

Vegetarians are not brainless...nor are they morons...and eating meat actually has nothing to do with a balenced diet or brain growth!! maybe best if you just shut the fuck up if you don't know what yous talking about hmm!!

    Hunter injured by wild pig

A hunter has been flown to hospital after being gored by a wild pig in the Mangaone Valley, near Wairoa, this morning.

The man was taking part in the annual Tiniroto pig hunt when the incident occurred about 9am.

It is understood the man was attacked by a pig he had bailed up. In the ensuing struggle, the hunter received a gash to his thigh and hand.

Because of the steep terrain of the area, the Lowe Corporation rescue helicopter was called and the man was flown to Hawke's Bay Hospital for treatment.

Dude...your a good bugger...but this is bad taste..

Its like dudes on a Pro-car forum saying yay!! another motorcyclist dead!!

the dude was out doing what he enjoyed...his passion...he may not have liked our passion...so why dress him down about it...each to there own...opinions are just that...and best keeped to your self some times... IMHO

I have to say that the OP that opened this thread made me feel sick. How can anyone suggest a shot hunter story is entertaining?

I don't hunt, but I'm glad so many do, as there are lots of wild pig in the hills and many carry tb. Pig hunters are doing us a favour by eliminating them for free, otherwise we would have to pay for their numbers to be controlled.

Also, I just want to mention that many pig hunters aren't carrying firearms; their dogs bail a pig by barking it into a corner and then the hunter jumps in with a knife in his/her hand and sticks it. They wouldn't use a gun because of the risk to their dogs.

I dont see how any of you arseholes think that a man getting injured while hunting is deserved, some people hunt as a source of cheap meat for their family, not everyone has a gold master card that they can use at foodtown to buy meat and anyone who eats meat from a shop is just as guilty ethically if not more so than a hunter , fuck theres some wankers on this site
