    The Suzuki Tuatara

Came back to Auckland for Easter weekend to find that my wonderful wife had bought me the best birthday present. It's a sculpture of a tuatara by a Taupo-based artist called Todd Harris. He works using scrap metal - often mechanical components from cars or motorcycles - and has produced some very cool stuff indeed.

Unfortunately, the tuatara does have a small problem. It contains Suzuki parts. I'm expecting to get a phone call in the next week or so telling me that it's fallen to bits or is lying upside down in a ditch having failed to take a simple corner... A couple of pics attached, and some more on Facebook.

Au contraire! (sp, with apologies to all French speakers...), the artistic Mr. Harris obviously has an appreciation for quality and wanted only the best parts for his art!

    Anyway, (sorry, Hitcher...), it's great!

Shouldn't have problem getting Suzuki parts, seen a lot of them at the bike wreckers,

If its made from 08 parts is it still a dinosaur ???

On topic, mate that is cool,
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

Oh, that is so cool. I want one, too! Happy (belated) Birthday!

I guess there wouldn't be enough spare parts to do a Bimota tuatara....

Well, the Blade was written off, and the 250 will be sold just as soon as I work out a way of getting it a warrant and rego whilst the bike's in Auckland and I'm in Brissy.

As for the next bike - I'm thinking Italian...

Wouldn't be so sure about that - they used Suzuki engines for a long time. However, it'd probably rust in twenty minutes, slightly after the electrics had failed.
