    Trumpy dumps it!

Riding back from Wharepapa South yesterday I started up the windy bit fronthe dam.I don't like this little bit of road as the surface crumbles alot and can be quite chabgeable so took it relative easy. Twas a hot day and was feeling a little light headed after the first few corners and thought "can't stop now get to the top of the hill and take a break". Dumb idea one: Next thing I know was waking up face down on the verge thinking "what the f$%#K!?" Have no memory at all of what happened just prior.
The bikes a tad shagged but under the circumstances I got off quite lightly....broken Scapula and plently of bruises and and the usual concussion type symptoms.
HUGE thanks to all who stopped from both cagers and especialy the biker group who stayed for quite some time. Many, many thanks.

Gor blimey - sounds like you fainted on the bike! Not enough water or are you just getting old and creaky like the rest of us . . .

    Hope you heal up quick.

According Mrs Trumpy, the most likely scenario!....

I feel I should mention my gear: helmet is stuffed but it did the job. BIG thanks to Quasi for selling me QUALITY gear at the right price. A bit of cosmetic damage but did not wear through anywhere. All the gear all of the time folkes!!!

Bummer RoBert... Yeah that tar was a little soft in places yesterday. Doesn't help when the surface is crumbly anyway. Heal up quick Trumpy!

Hey Trumpy, that's not good news at all. Glad you're not hurt too bad and hope you heal up real soon, and the bike as well.

man that sucks, glad you weren't too badly injured..

similar thing happened to me last week, i think i must've had a momentary lapse of concentration or something cause all i remember is leaving the previous corner and then crossing centreline/dodging pole/thinking i was going to be ok/highsiding

hopefully other KBers might learn from our mistakes...

    Bugger, Robert!

Are you sure you weren't just trying to get rid of the Speed Four so you could spend the insurance money on a Street Triple?

Chuck me a PM about the damage when you get a chance, am interested to see how the bike faired.

Take it easy with that shoulder!
