    Suzuki FXR150 foot panel

So... just new around here, got my licence on tuesday, broke my bike the same day... The panel which the left foot pedal and gear shift is attached to snapped off at the part which attaches these... I've been quoted a three week waiting time and $100 for parts and labour to repair it, but was wondering if anyone would know a cheaper way of doing this? I've already blown my budget with the bike really! any help or suggestions are thoroughly welcomed

ask EJ his FXR is a wreck he can sell it for parts
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.

    Hi Pebbles

If this is part you are talking about, you might be able to get a local enginering shop to weld it up for you.

Yes that's the one! except on the other side, one of our family friends does all that welding stuff and he thinks it wouldn't weld too well seems it would have a lot of weight on it... also is this a common thing?

Don't even know who to try really... can only think of pick a part, but I thought they only did cars. If it comes to it I can just get it from Japan, but it does seem really expensive and such a long wait

it should be the same still, just ask the wrecker as well, but i bet it will be. Dont bother trying to weld it, its cast and theres nothing there to really weld to. Footpeg mounting bracket.

look up motorcycle wreckers (Will be under Motorcycle Parts and accessories) in the yellowpages or search for the motorcycle wrecker list here on kiwibiker, then get calling

I think we call the whole part "rearset"?

Just get it welded, us bucket guys break them and have them welded. They don't seem to have issues with the weld breaking unless you crash again. Most engineers will do that sort of thing in 10 minutes and only whant $20 to buy pies the next day for smoko.

Its harder to lose weight than gain horsepower.
