    Blah Bike options/wanted

Since my bike was stolen, I have had to put on some rubber gloves and start delving around for money for my new bike.

After some sweet talking to the missus and some 'oral' encouragement I have the money.

I am now on the hunt for a new bike.

My budget is $6,000 - which although is not much, should be enough to get me back on a big bike.

    Few of my 'requirements' are:

    • 1000cc or higher
    • Sports-tourer or tourer
    • Fully faired
    • No older than 1990

I have seen ZX11's going for $5,500 so that is a very real option.

I'm pretty open minded on brands, shaft/chain, age, colour etc etc

So i'm looking for options... not really sure what is out there? I like the 'look' of the BMW K1200 at motohaus and heck if there is someone selling a blackbird in my budget let me know!

you'll be hard pressed to find that bike for cheap, unless you can handle real old and/or binned...

There's some very nice GSX-F 750's around for about 5500 tho
they're not short on power, sure they're not your 11, but still plenty of boogie. Took one for a test ride on the weekend, found it very nice

VTR looks good, thought about that but your right, tad on the sporty side.

Not sure of it's handling or power etc compared to the ZX11 ?

Yeah, the TL would have the grunt but the lack of fairings!!!!!!!! No offence, but they just look a bit odd.
