However this means that I will be wearing a neck brace for at least the next 10 days, so no riding for me. Oh yeah, and it means I can't do my full motorbike licence test which I'm booked in to do next week. Oh and I can't drive my car either because I can't turn my head from side to side. To say that I'm a tad upset would be a major understatement.
Damn... Really sorry to hear that RR

I hope that it's nothing serious and you'll get all better again soon.

Bashed? How? If I may ask.

Thanks, I might just have to do that F/F. Discovering today that there's not a hell of a lot you can do when you can't move your head. And my flatmates away all this week so I'm having to fend for myself.
As for the cause - that would be someone trying to play a practical joke on me and it going very wrong. Was very angry and managed to drive my ambulance about 5km before the dizzyness and vomiting hit me. My colleague drove me straight back to hospital despite all my protests (we make the worst patients) - and it was immediately noted that I was holding my head as if it was going to fall off, which caused a bit of concern.
Now I just have to do the rest and recovery thing, inbetween bouts of feeling sorry for myself and feeling extremely pissed off.

    Cool time off work....

You look after yourself...... if ya need anything doing.... pm me...
Cos 10 days is not long..... next year I got 8 weeks of doing nothing.... and no bike riding during that time... so now is the time to catch up on sleep and chatting with ya mates.... having lots of cups of coffee....

You going for your test next week? Can you ring them and cancel it and not loose money ? Or will you have to repay it again?

Just enjoy the time off work.... sitting back watching tv.... or reading... but no heavy lifting... oh yeah you already know that about no heavy lifting aye...lol.

    Thanks Crashe - appreciate it.
As long as I cancel test at least 2 working days beforehand I won't lose my money.
And I guess delaying my test means I won't rush out and buy a bigger bike straight away, and then regret not waiting for the 2005 Ducati's to arrive in NZ. They should be in the shops end Jan/beginning of Feb so I should hopefully be recovered by then.

ouch Raif Raif... sorry to hear that. erm I know what its like. I spend the last 7 days off my bike all drugged up after having 4 wisdom teeths removed and 2 of the bottom ones they had to do a side insertion, knock away a little bit of my jaw bone, crush my wisdom teeths to little pieces and then take it out.....

Will be nice to see you on a 05 Duce! ermmmm Yummy!

A bit better now I've got anti nausea meds (which have a little hallucinogenic side effect). Had a CT scan yesterday and it turns out I actually have a functioning brain in my head. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I found that out!!!
Thanks everyone for your concern and for those who have popped in to see me.

Well you did better than me then!
I had a CT scan about 2 years ago, and the doctor said, "Well, we didn't find anything."

I'd expected them to at least found a small hamster wheel, clockwork motor, rubber band, or summat. :spudwhat:
