Question Hyosung 250 - removing tank - spark plugs, air filter

Has anyone replaced the air filter and spark plugs on a Hyosung 250 GT or GTR?

The petrol tank has to be removed and I wonder what tricks there may be, such as with the petrol overflow tube when replacing the tank.

    Thanks.

It's a piece of piss to remove. Undo the bolt on the front, under your seat (where you rub your crotch [oh yeah!]) lift it up to about 45 degrees pivoting towards the bars, and pull the tank backwards, the front of it mounts with a little wheel and L bracket.

Don't need to worry about disconnecting the hoses, there's enough travel in them.

Thanks for that. Did you do the spark plugs and air filter or something more involved like adjusting valve tappets?

Had a play with the Air Filter. I'll be in Wellington next weekend if you want to meet me there, and I can show you.

Thanks. I'll see if I can make it to Wgtn - depends on weather. Have you been over the Rimatukas? Great fun. Come over to the Wairarapa, pop up to Masterton and a cold beer is your's - yeah, bring a few other KBers and they get a cold one as well.

I've just ordered an air filter and other bits from Richard Jordan. I don't need to replace the air filter for another 4,000 km but I'll want to inspect and clean it while doing the plugs in the next few weeks.
