    Indicator Bulbs - Kawasaki ZR250

One of my indicator bulbs packed a sad and I cant for the life of me find a replacement! I haven't been able to try a bike shop yet but have been through repco and a squillion different petrol stations looking for one. I cant even find a picture of it.

Its a Stanley, 12V 15W. It slots into the plughole (as opposed to turning). Fits kinda like a standard fuse would. Its pretty small. The only one ive been able to find so far that fits has been a car one but its 5W. When the two bulbs dont match the indicators dont flash, they just stay on (better than nothing for the moment). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

(/me wanders off to browse for a picture).

EDIT: Ok so far I can say its a "Wedge base lamp"

Go to your local electrical wholesale, the have catalouges on every type of bulb imaginable, a company called Electrix will have the type you are after. Failing that get the wholesaler to get it from Lamp Specialists.

I just replace my rear indicators with LEDs, and remounted the number plate, cleaned the back end right up. I also had to replace the indicator relay with an electronic one so they would flash.

Sounds like the bulbs in my VTR.

I bought brake/tail light bulbs with a wedge base from Collins Automotive in Wgtn.

I don't think they're that uncommon. Try a bike shop.

That's not normal, is it? Honda brake bulbs are normally your standard auto ones, with a bayonet fitting. You got aftermarket ones?
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I don't think so. Mind you, that was the first time I had seen the wedge base bulbs.

It's not the non-match that causes that, it is lack of current draw with a low-wattage bulb. Go to bigger bulbs, say 25 watt, and it will flash flat-out.
Like the man with the unpronouncable handle below says, if you go to LED indicators, you will need to change from the bi-metallic indicator relay to an electronic one.

Anyway... If the bulbs are a huge problem to find, I would suss out some different indicators. As long as they are not a popular item, they should cost you stuff-all.
