    Question Is this avatar offensive?

So, i've received several PM's and Bling over this particular Avatar that I had. Some loved it, some loathed it.

Is it going too far? If I have to censor it, it's not worth keeping as an Avatar.

BTW, it's from a Canadian cartoon called 'Metalocalypse'. The character is called William Murderface (his appearance is loosely based on Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath).

    Doesn't bother me either way.

It's fine. I say if you don't like it, don't look at it for too long.

Its ok most of the time but might be considered offensive in certain context - such as RIP for a biker with a head injury maybe?
As I look down while typing this I can see you can remove your signature from an individual post but can't see an option for removing your avatar! Anyone know if this is possible???

You sound sensible enough - use your discretion.

When did geezer rip his face off anyway? I am a Tony Iommi fan myself.

I'm a big fan of the Ad Blocker Plus plugin for Firefox. Not only does it block all those annoying banner ads of all those 'educational' websites you visit, but you can also right click on any old image and manually block it so you don't see it again. I've used this function several times on KB to block avatars I can't stand looking at (skidMarks 'this is the avatar that does not end', and Spank's current one which isn't up to his normal avatar standard I feel ), as well as other annoying images. I'd contemplated blocking that avatar as I didn't really like seeing it after a while, but I won't have to now, not that it matters! Still, ABP saves my sanity from forum users with bad avatars/signatures.

I'm usually more offended by something that looks interesting or funny but is squashed so small (to be an Avatar) that I can't read the joke or whatever.

Yours is unpleasant; but I can click the censor thing if I get all offended.

I think those who find it offensive (and no idea why) should take the blue chill pill...

Pfft, It's an avatar, far more interested in the stuff you post and to be honest I thought it was guliver being dragged along in the mud by the little people. Shows how much attention I paid to it.

P.s. I have no idea what mines about either, looks like a bloke with a frizzby superglued to his head.

Normal ok that was too vague maybe change it to people who like to be wrapped up in cotton wool their whole lives and personality/character expression scares them a little....

I was mildly shocked when I first saw it, but I wouldn't call it offensive. I haven't even managed to organise an avatar yet, so I like seeing what everyone else has. I hope to get one sorted soon-ish.

I don't consider it offensive, but I just can't stand it.

ok so I dont like it. Do I find it offensive? maybe. My kids walk by my computer a lot and them seeing it would bother me. But thats all.
I can also use ABP so I dont think its worthy of complaining about. Freedom of expression and all that I think you should go with what you feel comfortable with.
I wouldn’t be broke if the voices in my head paid rent
