    Steve McQueen's estate sues Belstaff

The Estate of Steve McQueen is suing Belstaff over a range of clothing featuring the film star.

The accusation is that Clothing Company S.P.A., parent company Belstaff USA and Belstaff International LTD have made "willful and brazen unauthorized use of the name, image, signature and likeness" of the actor.

The lawsuit alleges a representative of Belstaff contacted the estate in 2007 requesting a license for use of McQueen's image, but permission was not given.

Nothing is cool enough to carry the Steve McQueen name. Read his biography, he was a bloody legend.

But I wonder how many of the younger riders these days would want to wear a Belsaff like McQueen wore? It would definitely be considered uncool! And the certainly they wouldn't wear his open face helmet.I think the King of Cool is wasted on the young...but I'd happily wear a waxed cotton Belstaff and open faced Bell helmet.

Still got my original Belstaff jacket. (bit small now).
They were gamekeepers jackets originally I think. The large pockets were designed to carry shot gun cartridges.
Steve was cool. Ice cold even.

Belstaff is just a name now, an Italian company I believe. They make high end semi-tailored stuff for people who aren't shaped like a potato.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
