    This is TOTALLY AWESOME!

Don't forget to say "Totally Awesome!" like the little kid on the trike from "The Incredibles" movie.

I think it's more amazing how quickly they actually got the KISS principle right. Insects are pretty much perfect

It's almost as if someone designed them that way...

They had a shitload more time to get it right.

They're just super evolved, super specialised shrimps.

Remember that the next time you eat a crayfish. It's just an under evolved insect.

    Yeah.
    That's what I said.
Makes me wish I'd kept the images from the electron microprobe session I had back in 1981, instead of giving them back to the yoo-niv-adversity.
    They were soo kewl too.
Almost totally awesome as well (but we didn't have that back then...)

Thanx for the link, Dr Jim2!
    ... and that's what I think.

From that way of looking at it you could argue that 80% of all animals are just over developed shrimps.

Life has had about the same amount of time to get it right - yes, mammals evolved much later than insects but ultimately life started at about the same time...

Too cool... and how did we get such a high concentration of troglodytes here online?

Edit... the original application of technology to find the tiny critters from 100's of millions of years ago then print them out???? Awesome. Wish I had that job.

FFS, I wish I'd never posted it.

Why can't God botherers just stick to whining at God?

Technology developed by hirsute French Blokes to print out 3D models of insects = cool.

Using it to prove theory of Evolution when I was trying to indicate a sense of child like wonder at some stuff that I think is cool = uncool. You'll not convert me. I haven't met a compassionate Christian yet.
